Information about Nursing Home Abuse - Each year thousands of elderly suffer from abuse or neglect in nursing homes. An alarming one in three homes are reported for abuse. Nursing home malpractice is a tort that is actionable. The federal government and each state prescribe legal guidelines that nursing homes must strictly follow.   • Sudden large withdrawals from bank accounts or changes in banking practices.
